MacBook screen repair or full display replacement?
How to tell whether your MacBook needs a complete display assembly, cable work, or a more targeted panel repair.
Screen faults can look similar from the outside. A cracked glass panel, vertical lines, backlight failure and a dim image can each point to different repair paths.
A full display assembly is usually the cleanest answer for cracked panels or severe image faults. Cable-level repairs can make sense when the panel is physically healthy but the backlight or image cuts out at certain lid angles.
Before booking, note the model number from the underside of the MacBook and take a photo of the fault. That makes it much easier to quote accurately and avoid fitting parts your machine does not need.
